I’ve spent my career devoted to transformative processes. As a teacher, I shape how students learn and become. As a scholar of politics, religion, and culture, I study how ordinary people pursue change. And as an editor, I listen for a client’s thinking process and voice so that together we can transfigure their work into a better version.

I earned a PhD in political theory from Yale University and an AB in religion, summa cum laude, from Princeton University.

Between degrees, I taught high school English literature at a New York City private school and lent my creative and strategic talents to a variety of projects — ranging from Gov. Mikie Sherrill’s first congressional campaign to a partnership between StoryCorps and Georgetown University.

Since that time, I’ve honed my editing chops as an Assistant Editor at The Yale Review, longtime tutor in university writing centers, and freelance editor.

I especially love working on prose projects with clients whose typical medium isn’t words—that is, helping artists and musicians translate their work for general audiences.
